ANSU Students To Pay N55,000 To N60,000 As Tuition Fees

In 2007,the strike which lingered for over three months was due to the astronomical increment in school/tuition fees from N18,500 to N26,500.Consequently,another increment from N26,500 to N36,000 was effected in 2008/2009 session,while the Anambra State Government according to the Student has started talking of raising the bar to between N55,000 to N60,000 again.According to a reliable source,the Governing Council of the Anambra State University led by Prof. Elochukwu Amuchiazu and the Acting Vice Chancellor-Prof. Chujwunenye Anene met with the student Leaders where they were informed of the increment in tuition fee.Initially,about N120,000 was being muted by the Governing Council in collaboration with Acting Vice Chancellor.Meanwhile,many Parents are threatening to withdraw their Wards should the Anambra state Government endorses such a dastardly proposal.
